Q: What is the lead time?
A: The typical lead time as of 02-01-2019 is 23-27 months.
Q: How much do they cost?
A: The builds start at 5,400 and go up from there. The average is typically between the 7,500 - 8,500 range.
Q: What types of finishes are available?
A: Manganese Phosphate, Hot Salt Bluing, Cerakote are all applied finishes done in house. DLC, PVD, Hard Chrome and Melonite finishes are done by outside vendors.
Q: What finish is the best?
A: This is highly subjective and should be based on your personal vision and use for your custom 1911.
Q: What is the accuracy guarantee of a Combat Precision 1911?
A: More accurate than you and I can shoot them. They are typically referred to as laser beams. So I have been told.
Q: What is the warranty?
A: I provide a 100% warranty as long as I am above ground.
Q: What is required to get started?
A: A 50% non-refundable deposit and a vision for your custom 1911.
Q: Can I make changes later?
A: Most of the time yes. I am always coming out with new stuff and understand that sometimes you don’t know until you see it.
Q: Should I go with a curved or flat trigger face?
A: Another subjective answer and is left up the customers preference. I typically shoot more accurately with a curved faced, but I shoot more consistently with the flat.
Q: Why Combat Precision?
A: Only you can answer that. What I can say is that most of my builds are repeat clients. I want the journey to be a collaborative effort that you are a part of. From coming up with a personal meaning in the project name, to the number of in-progress pictures, the goal is to have you feel as appreciated as I feel in choosing me as your maker.
